Mary Oliver best put it in her poem Wild Geese: “…Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting —over and over announcing your place in the family of things.”
Whether it be climbing a glacier with a close friend to collect geophysical data, traveling by herself for months through Europe to explore the many facets of dance, or enjoying a hot cup of tea, Bree lets the world be her canvas. Despite her innate disposition to be an internal person, she constantly pushes to be bold. Life after college is both an unnerving and exhilarating time and she accepts that with courage and the openness of the beginner’s mind. She is servant to her artistic impulses, driver of her scientific interests, and sponge to all things. Bree listens for the geese.
