Chakra Jewelry In ancient Sanskrit, the word Chakra means "wheel," these seven spinning energy vortexes flow though the body from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Captivated by the Seven Chakras and how their influence Rose set out to find a way to include them not only her designs but in her daily life. For centuries Waist beads and decorative chains have been worn by women and men of many cultures. They are worn by belly dancers for traditional Arabic Dance. Egyptian waist-bands were worn by men. African women wear waist beads to celebrate femininity, fertility, healing, spirituality, balancing and energy. The Seven Chakras share in many of these aspects -- balance, healing, love, sexuality, courage, self discipline, creativity, and enlightenment.
